On the other end of the tone spectrum elixir s 80 20 bronze acoustic guitar strings with nanoweb coating deliver a brighter crisper tone alongside the same traditional feel as these phosphor bronze strings. My local luthier says elixir is the best string available and i thought with all the five star reviews on amazon these would be the best i could find anywhere. This was always the claim on these strings but i wasn t sure how effectively they would be able to do this but the evidence is there after 8 months and counting the strings are still perfectly clean.
