Garage door opener works but light does not.
First disconnect the garage door opener from all power.
If you hear a click replace the light socket if you do not hear a click replace the logic board.

If however your garage door opener is still not working properly you may need to either call a repairman or replace the whole system.

When we return home the remote always works to open the garage door during the day.

The opener remotely sends an infrared or ir signal to a receiver that triggers a switch promting an electric motor to open or close the garage door.
Turn sure lock off also called vacation lock check the power source where the powerhead is plugged in.
Listen for the light relay on the logic board to click.

When the garage door does not close and the lights flashes it means the problem is with the safety sensor.
It will go up with no problems but it doesn t go down unless i hold down the button the entire way.
